CNBC reported some interesting statistics on oil this morning, noting that while Saudi Arabia is often referred to as the nation with the largest oil reserves, it currently holds just 260 billion barrels.
Canada holds 170 billion barrels.
Guess how many barrels the United States currently holds? More than 800 billion! CNBC said that analysts believe that number is conservative and that the United States could actually hold much more.
Reportedly, Royal Dutch Shell
RDS holds the majority of the local reserves.
