CNBC Launches John Carney's NetNet

CNBC has launched a new section of CNBC.com called NetNet which will cover material from John Carney as well as a number of CNBC contributors. According to the network, this is where "you will find the inside dope about the characters on Wall Street. You'll find insider stories, trader gossip, and various tales of the foibles of the moneyed crowd. You'll also get some pretty sharp commentary about what's happening in the financial world and how the pinstripe elite is likely to profit off it." John Carney is a Senior Editor at CNBC. Previously, Carney was the managing editor of Business Insider's financial news and gossip vertical, Clusterstock. Carney began his journalism career at DealBreaker, a Wall Street blog that covers the personalities and culture that shape the financial industry. Prior to joining Dealbreaker, Carney practiced corporate law at firms such as Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Latham & Watkins, primarily representing banks, hedge funds and private equity firms.
