Housing Showdown: Gary Shilling Vs. Mark Kiesel on Bloomberg TV 4pm ET
HOUSING SHOWDOWN: Is the housing crisis over or accelerating?
Housing bear Gary Shilling and housing bull Mark Kiesel go head-to-head on the state of the U.S. housing market at 4pm ET today on Bloomberg Television's “Street Smart” with hosts Trish Regan and Adam Johnson.
Economist Gary Shilling, who correctly called the housing bubble collapse, recently said, “buying a house now would be a disastrous investment if prices fall another 20% or more.” Meanwhile, Mark Kiesel of PIMCO, who sold his home in 2005 when he deemed the market a bubble, reversed his stance and told Bloomberg earlier this month, “I was one of the most negative on housing…the future is hard to predict, but U.S. housing is healing and is probably close to a bottom.” Kiesel recently purchased a new home in California.
