Benzinga Options Outlook for the Week of October 21: Plenty Of Play To Watch
Debt ceiling and government shutdown woes have been kicked down the road another three months.
Investor's doomsday tickers have been shut off while markets have been roaring to new all-time highs.
Noteworthy characteristics are that none of the banks have been leading.
New market highs have been established by a strong Nasdaq market with high flyers like Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) going stellar into the 1000s joining its brother Priceline.com (NASDAQ: PCLN). Watch out for good moves in this name as it figures out the levels in the thousands.
There should be plenty of play here. Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is over 500, pay attention to this line as it will either bounce or fade drastically through. Overall with earnings season among us, traders should be careful of playing options pre-earnings, play the equity instead.
Traders should wait for the post earnings move and either consider selling volatility or snagging an ATM option to trade.
