Live Cattle Futures Little Higher

April live cattle is trading at 116.80, up 0.30 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 106.90, up 0.17 cents/lb Live cattle futures are trading steady to higher just after the open. Chatter about cash prices ahead and demand impacts from some late winter storms is making the rounds. Thursday's USDA cattle slaughter was 110,000 head versus 108,000 head a year ago. The total cattle slaughter for the week is now 454,000 head versus 435,000 head a year ago
