EUR/USD Lower, Euro Area Trade Surplus Rises

EUR/USD is trading at 1.0551, down 0.0025. Eurostat reported a 28.1 billion EUR trade surplus in December versus a 25.4 billion EUR surplus in November. The French National Statistics Institute of Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE) is scheduled to release unemployment data Thursday at 1:30 a.m. ET.
