Lean Hog Futures Little Changed

February lean hogs are trading at 65.25, up 0.25 cents/lb. April lean hogs are trading at 67.87, up 0.10 cents/lb. June lean hogs are trading at 76.67, down 0.07 cents/lb Lean hog futures are steady to higher just after the open. Market talk about cash prices and weather for animal movement is making the rounds. The U.S. Department of Agriculture Monthly Cold Storage Report is due out at 3:00 p.m. ET. Monday's USDA hog slaughter was 440,000 head versus a year ago at 430,000 head. Market chatter about comments from policy makers regarding trade policy is starting to show up. Trading is expected to be choppy.
