GBP/USD Steady, U.K. Unemployment Unchanged

GBP/USD is trading at 1.2653, down 0.0006. The U.K. Office for National Statistics ( ONS) reported the number of people claiming unemployment benefits (claimant count ) in the United Kingdom rose by 2,400 in November versus a rise of 13,300 in October. The U.K. unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.8 percent. Average Earnings were up 2.5 percent including bonuses versus up 2.4 percent on the previous report.
