USDA Daily Cattle Slaughter; Live Cattle Futures Mixed

Friday's USDA cattle slaughter was 113,000 head versus a year ago at 113,000 head. February live cattle is trading at 110.75, up 0.10 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 110.22, down 0.20 cents/lb. Live cattle futures traded choppy with a wide range. Some late session buying moved prices up from the lows of the day.
