Live Cattle Futures Extend Losses

February live cattle is trading at 109.37, down 1.27 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 109.15, down 1.27 cents/lb. Live cattle futures have extended the session losses. Trading is choppy. Thursday's USDA cattle slaughter was 116,000 head. The total for the week is 463,000 head versus 447,000 head a year ago.
