EUR/USD Higher, Spain GDP Eases

EUR/USD is trading at 1.0914, up 0.0017. Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE) reported that third quarter gross domestic product (GDP) eased to a rise 0.7 percent versus a rise in the second quarter of 0.8 percent. It was the softest level since the fourth quarter of 2014. Year over year Spain's GDP slipped to 3.2 percent from 3.4 percent. The agency reported that reported that year over year CPI (Consumer Price Index) in October rose 0.7 percent versus a rise of 0.2 percent in September. On the month Spanish CPI rose 1.1 percent after a flat reading in September. The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) rose 0.8 percent in October versus a 0.7 percent rise in September. Spain's year over year HICP was 0.5 percent versus a flat reading in September.
