Lean Hog Futures Steady

December lean hogs are trading at 44.12, down 0.07 cents/lb. February lean hogs are trading at 51.07, down 0.10 cents/lb. Lean hog futures are choppy and on both sides of unchanged. Wednesday's USDA hog slaughter was 424,000 head, the total for the week is now 1,309,000 head, up down 1,322,000 last week and up from 1,292,000 a year ago.
