Cotton Futures Little Changed

December New York Cotton is trading at 68.95, up 0.18 cents/lb. March New York Cotton is trading at 69.38, up 0.16 cents/lb. China's cotton imports for September totaled 60,644 tonnes, up 19 percent a year ago. China's cotton imports for the year are down 43.5 percent at 655,839 tonnes. The weekly U.S. cotton crop condition report showed 48 percent of the cotton crop was rated good to excellent versus 47 percent a week ago and 47 percent a year ago. The ten year average at this time of year is 44 percent. The weekly cotton crop harvest report showed 39 percent of the cotton crop was harvested versus 30 percent a week ago and 39 percent a year ago. The ten year average at this time of year is 39 percent.
