USD/CAD Moves Down, Canadian Trade Gap Improves

USD/CAD is trading at 1.3017, down 0.0076. The pair is trading very choppy and a little above the session lows as overseas traders wind down trading for the day. Market chatter about U.S. and Canadian economic data has kept buyers and sellers active. Statistic Canada reported that Canada's trade gap improved to CAD 2.95 billion in July versus a downwardly revised CAD 3.97 billion deficit in June. Exports rose 3.4 percent and imports declined 0.1 percent. The agency reported that labor productivity declined 0.3 percent during the second quarter. versus a 0.4 percent rise in the first quarter.
