AUD/USD Little Higher, Manufacturing PMI Falls

AUD/USD is trading at 0.7525, up 0.0007. The pair is trading rangebound. Market chatter the Australian economy and regional growth is making the rounds. The Australian Industry Group's (AIG) manufacturing PMI (purchasing managers survey) fell to 46.9 in August from 56.4 in July. Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that July retail sales were flat versus a 0.1 percent gain in June. Regionally, China's Caixin August manufacturing PMI slipped to 50.0 versus 50.6 in July. China's National Bureau of Statistics reported the non-manufacturing PMI for August slipped to 53.5 versus 53.9 in July and the manufacturing PMI rose to 50.4 versus 49.9 in July.
