Corn Futures Little Changed, IGC Raises Global Production

September Corn is trading at 330, down 1 1/4 cents/bushel. December Corn is trading at 337 1/4, down 1 1/2 cents/bushel. Corn futures are trading steady to lower after Thursday's choppy session. Market chatter about weather is ongoing. The International Grains Council (IGC) lifted their forecast for global corn production for the 2016 to 2017 season to 1.017 billion tonnes versus 1.003 billion tonnes on the group's previous estimate. The USDA reported on Thursday that corn export sales for the current marketing year as of July 21st are now 100.9 percent of the agency forecast versus the five year average of 100.5 percent.
