U.S. Dollar Index Little Lower Ahead of Data

The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 95.98, down 0.12. The U.S. dollar index is rangebound and just above the session lows early Friday morning. Market talk about overseas headline news and U.S. economic data due out today is making the rounds. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to release June CPI (consumer price index) at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Census Bureau's monthly report on retail sales and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York Empire State manufacturing survey for July are also due out at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Federal Reserve is scheduled to report June Industrial production and capacity utilization at 9:15 a.m. ET. The University of Michigan July consumer sentiment is due out at 10:00 a.m. ET.
