S&P 500 Index Futures Trading Higher In Volatile Session

S&P 500 index futures are trading higher by 22 points at 1903.50 in Thursday's session. After a higher open, the index gave back all of its gains and made a new low for the recent slide at 1871. It quickly rebounded from that low and made a new high at 1909.

All but one of the top 10 components of the index are in the green. The index's biggest component, Apple Inc. AAPL is the only one lower as its shares are lower by $0.10 at $97.29.

Leading the way on the upside is JPMorgan Chase JPM shares which are trading higher by $1.53 at $58.88.
