S&P 500 Index Futures Trading Higher In Choppy Session

September S&P 500 index futures were trading higher by seven points at 1949.75 in Thursday's session. The index is attempting to recoup some of its losses from Wednesday's session.

Off the open, it found support way ahead of the pre-market low (1928.50) and just below the Wednesday's low (1935.50), only reaching 1934.75 before rebounding into the 1950 handle. So far, it has reached 1955.75 which is well shy of the pre-market high of 1967.25.

All but one of the top 10 components of the index are in the green. The laggard being AT&T Inc. T shares, which are trading lower by $0.14 at $32.64. Leading the way on the upside is Apple Inc. AAPL shares, which are trading higher by $2,20 at $112.36.

It is followed by Pfizer PFE shares, which are trading higher by $.36 at $32.32.
