Corn Little Changed

Corn futures are trading steady a little higher Thursday morning. September Corn is trading at 374 1/4, up 1 1/2 cents and December Corn is trading at 384 1/2 , up 1 1/4 cents.

The USDA will report weekly export sales today and the estimates are for 750,000 tons. Market chatter about yield and acreage estimates for USDA report next week is making the rounds. Market talk about weather has kept both buyers and sellers active.

The Brazil Trade Ministry reported that July 2015 ethanol exports were 213.9 million liters versus 90.66 million liters a year ago. Ethanol production in the U.S. for the last week of July averaged 961,000 barrels per day, up 6.5 percent versus a year ago. Corn used for the production was estimated at 100.91 million bushels. Ethanol supplies are up over 5 percent versus a year ago.
