Lean Hog Futures Sharply Higher

Tuesday's USDA hog slaughter was 418,000 head versus a year ago at 397,000 head. Lean Hog Futures traded sharply higher on Tuesday with a wide trading range. Trading was very choppy with some gains eroding into the end of the session. August Lean Hogs were trading at 75.75, up 1.80 and October Lean Hogs were trading at 64.82, up 1.90. December Lean Hogs were trading at 61.22, up 2.05.
