S&P 500 Index Futures Trading Higher

Joel Elconin is the co-host of Benzinga's #PreMarket Prep, a daily trading idea radio show. S&P 500 index futures were trading higher by 16 points at 2055.25 in Thursday's session. The index has fallen back 13 points from its high of 2068 made shortly after the opening bell. So far, it has declined to 2053.75 and is attempting to rebound. All of the top 10 components in the index are in the green. Leading the way is Facebook Inc FB, trading higher by $1.40 at $87.05. It is followed by Microsoft MSFT, trading higher by $0.59 at $44.83. Major support in the index stands at the lows from the last three sessions between 2034.25 and 2036.25. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust SPY was trading at $206.32, up $.179.
