U.S. Dollar Index higher

The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 97.42, up 1.31. Sellers have backed away during broad dollar strength on Tuesday. U.S. April Durable Goods data came out down 0.5%. Durable Goods ex transportations were up 0.5%. Consumer confidence came out at 95.4 versus 94.3 on the previous report. New Home Sales came out at 517, 000 versus 484.000 on the previous report. U.S. GDP data and the University of Michigan Consumer confidence figures are due out Friday.
