S&P 500 Index Futures Trading Lower In Volatile Trading

'' S&P 500 index futures are trading lower by fourteen points at 2083.75 at 2083.75 in Tuesday's session. Weakness in the German Bund market and 30 year US Treasury bond are weighing on the index. In after hours trading , the index briefly peaked at 2101 and has come nowhere near that level during the regular topping out shortly after the open at 2090.50. It quickly declined and found support just ahead of the premarket low (2079.25), only reaching 2080.25 before rebounding to its current level. For the second day in a row, there is major weakness in nine of the top ten components in the index. At this time, the only one in the green is Exxon-Mobil XOM shares which are trading higher by $0.12 at $86.90 off higher crude oil prices.
