Corn Slightly Down

The USDA on Monday reported weekly corn export inspections were 855,766 tons. Market chatter about shifting acres between beans and corn due to weather and new crop growing conditions continues to keep trading active. Market talk about accelerated planting in Illinois, Iowa and the rest of the Midwest led to some selling Monday and has capped rallies. Market talk about Southern Hemisphere crops being robust also kept sellers active. Corn futures are little changed Tuesday. May Corn is trading at 370 1/4 down, 1/4 of a cent. July Corn is trading at 377 3/4, down 1/4 of a cent. December Corn is trading at 396, unchanged.
