Tuesday's USDA report showed farmers in the U.S. intend to plant 89.199 million acres this year versus 90.597 million acres last year. March 1st corn stocks were 7.745 billion bushels. Last year March 1st stocks were 7.008 billion. On-farm stocks were 4.38 billion bushels, up 519.5 million from last year. Some chatter is going around that feed demand is a bit low or perhaps ethanol demand is tapering off. Weather, actual data and global demand are now on the table. Corn futures are trading a little higher Wednesday after Tuesday's sharp decline. May Corn is trading at 378 3/4 up 2 1/2 cents. July Corn is trading at 386 1/2 up 2 1/4 cents. December Corn is trading at 403, up 2 1/4 cents.
