Lean Hogs Little Higher - Live Cattle Steady

At last check June Hogs were trading at 75.42, up 0.42. August Lean Hogs were trading at 77.25, up 0.67. April Hogs were trading at 61.32, up 0.20. Market talk about selling in June by spreaders and commercial activity pressured Hogs near the highs of the session. Monday USDA Cattle slaughter was 109,000 head versus a year ago at 116.000 head. After a higher Live Cattle traded choppy and a little lower. Market chatter about demand concerns surfaced due to more poultry and high priced beef. At last check June Live Cattle was trading at 152. 75, down 0.22 and August Live cattle was trading at 149.95 , unchanged.
