N.Y. Soft Commodities; Sugar Higher - Coffee Lower

May Sugar settled at 15.07, up 0.26. Market talk that Brazil is going to shift the sugar based ethanol mix and the already higher gasoline tax will force consumer to use more ethanol was making the rounds Tuesday. Trading was firm late in the session. Coffee prices were sharply lower Tuesday on general selling. May Coffee settled down 7.65 at 158.85. N.Y. Cocoa traded mixed on Tuesday and settled the session up 11 at 2942. May Cotton last check was trading higher at 64.30 up 0.98 with little time left to trade on Tuesday. May Orange Futures settled down 0.35 at 136.40 Tuesday. May Orange Juice Trading in the post settlement was lower at 135.55 down 1.20.
