Gold and silver are rising in Friday's trading session after hitting multi-month lows in recent days. In fact, silver futures are still hovering around their lows for the year at current levels. On Friday, COMEX gold futures have risen 2.29% to $1,576 while silver futures are up 3.48% to $28.26.
The SPDR Gold Trust ETF
GLD has gained 1.86% to $153.14 and the iShares Silver Trust ETF
SLV has added 1.62% and is trading at $27.52. Bother metals are benefiting from a weaker U.S. Dollar, with Dollar Index futures falling 0.51% to $80.49. The lower greenback, however, is not giving a bid to the stock market with the Dow down around 34 points at last check.
