Trading Radar: Silver Continues to be Active

Silver futures have been active once again on Thursday, hitting an early morning low of $26.14 before spending much of the trading session grinding higher. At last check, silver futures had gained 0.59% to $27.39. The iShares Silver Trust ETF SLV is up 1.60% to $26.67 after spending most of the morning in negative territory. Volume is running higher than normal with around 19 million shares already trading hands with an hour and a half to go in the day. Silver has been in a downtrend and could be setting up to retrace some of its recent losses. Over the last month, the SLV has shed 14%, including almost 7% in the last five days.
