It's been a one-way trade lower in the New Zealand dollar since the RBNZ signaled a pause in rate hikes.
Other than the psychological value, 0.8500 isn't particularly significant in NZD/USD. The next levels to watch are the 200-dma at 0.8453 and the June low of 0.8402.
The rest of the commodity bloc is also trading at a session low as USD/CAD breaks 1.0850.
