Silver Standard Resources Inc (NASDAQ: SSRI) shares rose 3.92% to $18.03. The volume of SSRI shares traded was 23% higher than normal. SSRI has reported that it is on track to produce 7 million ounces of silver from its Pirquitas Mine in Argentina in 2010.
