Tip On Trading Release Of Canadian Wholesale Sales

Statistics Canada will be releasing their wholesale sales numbers on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 8:30 AM ET. The numbers are released monthly and reflect the change in total value of sales at the wholesale level. This is an indicator for consumer spending due to retailers ordering greater numbers of goods from wholesalers when expecting higher sales.

To trade this event it is recommended to set up an Iron Condor using Nadex USD/CAD Spreads. You can enter as early as 8:00 AM ET for a 10:00 AM ET expiration. Buy the lower USD/CAD spread and sell the upper USD/CAD spread. The ceiling of the lower should meet the floor of the upper spread, and be where the then current underlying market is trading. You want your Iron Condor to have a profit potential of $30 or more. To have that profit potential, buy the lower spread for around $15 or more and sell the upper spread for around $15 or more.

If there are no spreads available for a $30 or more profit potential setup, then don’t take the trade.
