Dow Turns Red; S&P Could Follow

The Dow Jones Industrial Average has given back gains from earlier in the session and is now trading solidly in the red. The widely watched blue-chip index has fallen 44 points to 11,824 after spending the morning in positive territory. The S&P 500 is also on the precipice of turning negative as an early session rally has completely evaporated. At last check, the S&P was hugging the flatline. The NASDAQ composite is still in the green, but well off of its earlier highs, notching a gain of around 0.28%. Consumer cyclical and healthcare stocks are among the weakest sectors on Friday, while basica materials and transportation stocks are leading. The euro is under pressure once again, falling 1.26% to $1.3196 against the Dollar.
