National Pancake Day Is Upon Us; Here Are 6 Restaurants Offering Deals

March 3 is National Pancake Day, an annual event when the breakfast diner offers customers a chance to save money with a free stack of pancakes in return for a donation to charity. IHOP started celebrating National Pancake Day in 2006 and since then has raised close to $16 million for charities and community organizations. This National Pancake Day marks the 10th year of the event for IHOP.

But IHOP isn't the only restaurant to get a deal on pancakes for National Pancake Day. GOBankingRates also found current deals from Denny's, Mimi's Cafe and others. Find out how to save money and get your pancake on today and throughout the week.

IHOP is offering one free short stack of Buttermilk pancakes per guest that dines in. In return, guests will be asked (but not required) to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or other local charities. This year, IHOP has stated its fundraising goal is $3.5 million. Donations to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals are tax-deductible as well.

From Denny's to Marie Callender's: 6 Pancake Coupons and Deals

While IHOP is the only restaurant we could find offering free pancakes on National Pancake Day, there are several other breakfast chains offering money-saving deals, coupons and discounts that can be used to get a stack of pancakes for less.

We found coupons that give a discount on an entire check, which could be a great way to save money when feeding a big group. Other restaurants also offer buy-one-get-one deals that are perfect for couples or those who want to get a second entree to take home.

• Bob Evans BOBE: Buy one breakfast entree, and get the second entree 50 percent off with this coupon through March 14.
• Denny's DENN: Get 20 percent off your entire check (including a stack of pancakes) with this coupon, valid through March 9.
• Marie Callender's: Through March 15, get a free breakfast entree with the purchase of one entree and two drinks when using this coupon.
• Mimi's Cafe: Buy an entree and two drinks, and get a second entree free with this coupon, valid through March 8. Or, AAA members can get 10 percent off their orders when they show their membership cards.
• Village Inn: Through March 20, get 20 percent off your entire check with this coupon.
• Waffle House: Use this coupon by March 4 to get a free classic waffle.
