ESPN anchor Stuart Scott died at the age of 49 Sunday after a lengthy year-long battle with a very rare appendiceal cancer.
The ESPN family, and the entire sports community, has been mourning the loss of not only a great broadcaster, but a beloved figure in the sports world.
Scott will always be remembered for his catchphrases like “boo-yah,” and for becoming one of the first African-American personalities at ESPN at a time when the station was dominated by white anchors.
