Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) has overtaken the senate floor Wednesday, protesting for action on gun control policy.
Democrats are supporting Lewis, opting to literally sit on the floor to make a statement against the Senate voting down gun control legislation earlier this week.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) passionately filibustered for 15 hours on Monday for a vote on gun control legislation that would make background checks for gun licenses more intensive, the Senate voted "no" on all four pieces.
Senate members are taking to social media to post photos in support of the cause, creating a trend, #nobillnobreak, on Twitter Inc TWTR.
House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) has called for cameras to be turned off at the event. He can choose to change topics at his own discretion. Those interested in keeping up with the action can keep up with the live Twitter feed and even check out pictures from people who are there to witness it.
