New Web Series Comedy Features Entrepreneurs, Startups

Leap Year, a new scripted comedy series chronicling the trials and successes of startups and entrepreneurs, launches today on Hulu, YouTube and iTunes. The ten-episode series was commissioned by specialist small business insurer Hiscox (HCXLF). "We wanted to talk to our target audience—entrepreneurs and small business owners in professional services—in a non-traditional and exciting way," said Hunter Hoffmann, U.S. Communications Manager at Hiscox. "We hope the trials, tribulations and successes the characters experience in this series will resonate with small business owners, and keep them entertained." Co-written and directed by Yuri Baranovsky, Leap Year's cast includes Craig Bierko of Damages and Boston Legal, Julie Warner of Crash and Doc Hollywood, and many others. The series features five friends who try to make a go of it alone in the wake of corporate downsizing. New episodes will premiere on Mondays.
