Thursday's After-Hours Movers: Zumiez, Puma Biotech, Finisar And More

Shares of Zumiez Inc. ZUMZ fell 3.56 percent on Thursday and another 18 percent after hours following its earnings call.

The small-cap multi-channel specialty retailer reported Q2 earnings of $0.12 per share on revenue of $179.82 million, in line with the Street’s consensus, but below guidance, which called for EPS in the $0.13 to $0.16 range.

Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc RH also reported its Q2 financial results after the market closed. After the bell, shares continued to fall an extra 2.3 percent. The company delivered earnings of $0.83 per share, in line with the Street’s consensus and management’s guidance, on revenue of $506.9 million which surpassed estimates.

Another stock moving on its earnings report is Finisar Corporation FNSR, which has lost almost 8 percent since the bell rang. The small-cap provider of optical subsystems and components missed earnings and guidance expectations. Chief Executive Officer Eitan Gertel announced his resignation.

Another big loser on Thursday afternoon is Cherokee Inc CHKE, down more than 20 percent in after-hours trading after the company missed Q2 earnings forecasts.

Opposite is the case of Puma Biotechnology Inc PBYI, up more than 6.7 percent after announcing “a publication in the September 2015 issue of the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network describes that a patient with HER2 non-amplified (HER2-negative) metastatic breast cancer who also had a HER2 activating mutation was successfully treated with PB272 (neratinib)."
