A federal appeals court denied on Friday Wesley Snipes' appeal for a 3 year prison sentence. Wesley Snipes based his appeal on the argument that the sentence was unreasonable and that he should be considered for a probation. At the 2008 trial, the actor was found guilty of failing to file tax returns, and not guilty on federal tax fraud and conspiracy charges. A 3 year sentence is the maximum sentence Mr. Snipes could have received. Judge William Terrell Hodges handed down the sentence, and allowed Mr. Snipes to remain free on bond until he is summoned to serve the sentence. The judge didn't say when will Wesley Snipes report to prison. A member of Mr. Snipes' legal team said that they were hoping for a complete acquittal and that they will appeal the decision.
