Beverages-Brewers: This industry gained 0.52% by 11:11 am. The top stock within the industry was Craft Brewers Alliance Inc (NASDAQ: HOOK), which rose by 3.48%. HOOK brews, markets and sells craft beers in the US.
Publishing-Periodicals: This industry rose 0.40% by 11:11 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Private Media Group Inc (NASDAQ: PRVT), which added 1.43%. PRVT’s shares dipped 12.94% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index gained 11.63% in the same period.
Cigarettes: This industry moved down 0.16% by 11:11 am, with Philip Morris International Inc (NYSE: PM) moving up 1.03% to gain the top spot. PM’s trailing-twelve-month ROE is 121.85%.
Auto Manufacturers-Major: The industry, which fell by 0.32%, saw Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) as the top gainer. F’s shares rose 2.08%. F, which has missed preferred stock dividends for 14 months, may resume the payouts as early as 2012, according to Bloomberg.
