Who Are The Most Innovative Companies In Fintech?
Benzinga announced the categories and finalists Thursday morning for the second annual Benzinga Fintech Awards. Of the 223 companies who took part in the social media competition, 131 have advanced as finalists.
Those companies will compete in ten categories:
- Best Educational Tools & Services
- Lending & Alternative Investments
- Trade Ideas, Platforms & Rooms
- Innovation in Mobile
- Robo Advisor & Wealth Management Tools
- Proprietary APIs & Technology
- Analysis Platform, Apps & Tools
- Finding Alpha
- Research Platforms, Apps, and Tools
- Leveling the Playing Fields
Additionally, there are five special categories that will identify more unique leaders in the space:
- Most Promising Startup
- Most Disruptive
- Founder of the Year
- Best in Show Exhibitor
- Outstanding Military Veteran in Fintech

Benzinga has identified a panel of judges with extensive experience in Fintech to determine the winners. Combined with the top CEO's, venture capitalists, and industry thought leaders that will be there, the Benzinga Fintech Awards promises to be "The Oscars of Fintech."
