Shares of UK-traded stocks surged Tuesday.
The FTSE 100 traded higher by over 2.9% in London, after a slightly down day yesterday, when trading in the U.S. was closed for the holiday.
Among stocks trading higher in the session was BP (
BP), up about 6.6 percent.
According to
ETFChannel.comETFs also seeing the impact of the FTSE’s strong day: the iShares MSCI United Kingdom Index Fund (
EWU) trading higher by 1.9%.
The SPDR STOXX Europe 50 fund (
FEU) is trading higher by over 3.4%, while the Europe 2001 HOLDRS (
EKH) is trading unchanged.
