In a report published Wednesday, JPMorgan analysts maintained an Overweight rating on
Apple IncAAPL
. Apple suspended plans to make a TV set more than a year ago, according to the Wall Street Journal. Instead, the company is working on a new Apple TV set-top box and related online services, Bloomberg reported. The analysts believe that Apple could eventually make a TV sized "monitor" that would have the small AppleTV device plugging into it. In the report JPMorgan noted, "However, we see this as more peripheral to the core AppleTV offering which would be more about gaming and TV services than selling physical televisions. We also note that the TV replacement cycle averages ~7 years while the upgrade cycle for electronics like the AppleTV box tends to be every 2-3 years."
