Robert Ohmes of Bank of America noted in a note on Wednesday that

key brands stood out. Ohmes notes that VF Corp's Timberland boots “far outperformed” expectations based on observations at the Roosevelt Field Mall thus far through the Holiday shopping season. Ohmes states that the North Face brand “appears to be performing well” given an expanded Thermoball offering at
Dicks Sporting Goods
stores, especially among women. Ohmes also observed a “strong performance” in Vans at company-owned stores. The analyst believes that the Vans-owned store expansion is helping to drive sell-through at wholesale accounts while enhancing the brand's lifestyle positioning. Shares are Buy rated with a $78 price target.
