Apple Inc.'s AAPL iPhone 6 launch got less buzz, but more love than its iPhone 5 two years ago.
The new phone received 300,000 mentions on the Internet over the past week, versus 500,000 mentions for iPhone 5 during that product's comparable launch period of September 2012, according to the social media management firm Sprinklr.
But four out of five comments on the iPhone 6 have been positive so far, versus two out of three for the iPhone 5 launch, Sprinkler said.
The hottest iPhone 6 topic? Its camera, with 29 percent of all mentions focused on the subject. Many have expressed disappointment in the camera's lack of improvement versus iPhone 5. Back in 2012, iPhone 5's camera rated only 12 percent of all social media mentions, Sprinklr said.
Also by way of comparison, operating system and processors were a heavy focus at the iPhone 5 launch, but barely mentioned this week.
New York-based Sprinklr in December closed a $17.5 million Series C round of venture funding from Battery Ventures and Intel Capital.
