Big Lots Expected To Report Strong Results Friday Morning
On Friday morning Big Lots (NYSE: BIG) will report second quarter earnings. Analysts are expecting EPS to be $0.30 on revenue of $1.20 billion.
EPS in the first quarter was $0.50 on revenue $1.26 billion. On May 30, Big Lots issued guidance for second quarter EPS between $0.24 and $0.30, with an estimate of $0.28.
Revenues are expected to grow on strength in consumer spending. Analysts at Keybanc (NYSE: KEY), JP Morgan (NYSE: JPM), Deutsche Bank (NYSE: DB) and Benchmark all cited strength in company turnaround initiatives in notes issued on Thursday.
Nearing the end of the trading day Thursday, Big Lots traded down roughly 1.3 percent to $47.44.
