Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ: WFM) reported its third quarter earnings after the closing bell Wednesday and the results sent the stock tumbling.

In response to what some are calling disappointing quarterly results, analysts have put out reports describing their opinions on the stock.

SunTrust - Buy, $50
The analysts at SunTrust noted that Whole Foods same-store sales of 3.9 percent were "somewhat shy" of the 4.7 percent consensus figure. However, they said given the historical trends and "prevailing consumer sluggishness," the quarter's guidance and estimates may have been a little "aggressive."

Raymond James - Market Perform
"We remain on the sidelines as we expect investor skepticism over the company's long-term growth potential and ability to meet (or exceed) long-term earnings guidance will continue until comp trends reaccelerate."
