Pacific Crest analyst John Vinh sees benefits and opportunities for InvenSense INVN and NXP Semiconductors NXPI from Apple's iPhone 6.
Vinh reported that the iPhone 6 will likely support NFC, with the larger unit possibly supporting optical image stabilization. Given these support possibilities, the analyst emphasized that InvenSense and NXP Semiconductor will likely benefit.
Pacific Crest remarked on the plausible upside InvenSense will see from the "main phone gyro win on iPhone 6, adoption of OIS in 4.7-inch iPhone 6, and iWatch design win."
The firm reiterated an Outperform rating and $26.00 price target on InvenSense.
The analyst continued to note that the iPhone 6 may support NXP supplied NFC radios. Vinh added that "Apple may also deploy NFC radio without secure element in new iPhone."
Other secular drivers for the company include China LTE and automotive opportunities.
