RBC Analyst Predicts 'Significant Acceleration' Consumer Growth For 3-D Printing

RBC analyst Amit Daryanani on Friday suggested that investors look to 3-D Systems (NYSE: DDD) and Stratasys (NASDAQ: SSYS) upon his prediction that consumer 3-D printing growth will "significantly accelerate" in the near-term.

As the basis for his prediction, Daryanani cited a multiple sector survey of 1,300 individuals.

Looking at these two companies, Daryanani estimates 3-D systems may be able to sustain revenue growth over 25 percent for the next few years. he also believes it is likely that Stratasys will sustain a 43 percent revenue CAGR and a 47 percent EPS CAGR from fiscal year 2009-2015.

The Street doesn't appear to be reacting much to this prediction, as shares of the two companies are about even for the day.
